With these simple care your pieces Whims Jewels can last much longer in good condition:
KEEP YOUR PIECES PROTECTED FROM DIRT
The environmental dust dirtifies them and also the simple body fat of the skin makes the dirt adhere to the metal. Store your pieces in a sachet or box protected from the outdoors and the dust of the environment. The silk bags and the cardboard boxes of our packaging are perfect for storage.
PROTECT YOUR PIECES FROM HUMIDITY
Moisture reacts on all metals, including gold and silver, only some, such as brass, are more sensitive. Do not wet them, avoid carrying them in especially humid environments (the pool, the gym, the beach …) or keep them in the bathroom where there is usually a lot of condensation. Avoid putting perfumes on the pendant. Take special care with bracelets and rings because they are the ones that are most exposed to water.
KEEP THEM ORDERED
The friction between parts can damage the galvanic finishes with scrapes and scratches, take special care with smooth or matt surfaces. Keep all the pieces separated one from the other (in small bags, boxes, compartments ..). Use our Jewelry Box to keep them organised and safe.
OCCASIONALLY CLEAN THEM UP
A cotton cloth to remove dust and grease is enough for the plated and silver pieces. We provide a cleaning cloth for free in all the orders, to help you keep your jewels as the first day.
There are other factors that influence the durability of the galvanic finishes, such as the pH of our skin.
